Yeah the old games were made to fit on a small screen that had a small resolution. The buttons are extra clicky and it fits somewhat strangely in your hand. It's responsive enough and the battery life seems pretty good - it's just odd. It also means that because it is pulling in a rom and not reading the cart live, any pass through devices (devices with other carts plugged into them (Noah's Ark 3D, Sonic & Knuckles, Game Genie, etc.) ) will not work.Īlso, the controller is odd. Meaning that independently developed games (as well as some translated or modded roms that were transferred onto cart) will not play because they will fail to validate. But unlike other emulators, it first validates the rom against a pre-defined list. This is an emulator, so it dumps the rom image from the cart to the system and then plays that rom. If you are a more avid collector and have any independent games or even just some of the harder to find or rarer games, this isn't the best investment because it will not play them. It's pretty good if you are a somewhat casual gamer/collector and want to play some of your old favorites and use the actual cartridges. ![]() If you don't want to watch my video review (thank you, Afro Cat) I will sum it up:
